I have a confession to make: I’m a bit of a Church hopper. I do have a main Church that attend for weekly worship but I often “church hop” with friends in different towns and areas around Florida. There is something appealing about visiting different congregations and meeting other Christians in worship. I love to socialize and learn. Visiting new places of worship gives me the opportunity to do both.
Growing up as a Christian in Florida has allowed me to have a strong faith experience. For newcomers in Orange County I thought it would be an excellent idea to give you a list of my favorite churches in the area and some honest thoughts. With such diversity here there really is something for everyone. Every one of these churches has made me feel welcome, allowed me to maximize my time in worship and have created environments of learning and love.
These are non-denominational places of worship that are very inclusive. Anyone who is new to the faith or just wants to try Church for the first time will find amazing experiences at these Churches.
Impact Church of Central Florida
The Impact Church of Central Florida gets serious about worship. The pastor is fantastic and do an excellent job at delivering high impact messages that you can take with me in daily life. The level of worship at their services is inspiring and uplifting. Their message is very Biblical based, which I love. They infuse the Word of God in all of their lessons and sermons and give actionable applications to how to live a life of Faith, Love and Community. This Church is for doers and I just love that. If you are looking for a community of Christians who put Christ first in everything they do than I highly recommend the Impact Church of Central Florida.
Christ Church of Orlando
The Christ Church of Orlando has been my primary home base for years now and I couldn’t recommend it enough! The people are very warm and the delivery of the Word of God is exciting, invigorating and will leave you ready to take on the world. I can’t stress how loving this community is. The emphasis on that love is what keeps me coming back. The Church is always moving and always engaged. The host many service and community activities throughout the year to bring people together through service and worship.
Summit Church fosters a loving and caring community of faith. You won’t be disappointed with their services as it’s very inclusive. The Summit Church is rooted in community building and you can see this with their community service project that they hosts throughout the year. This allows members to participate in service for a variety of causes that are positive for the local community as well as the soul. People looking for a warm environment of worship will not be disappointed.
For Children and students there are a variety of age-appropriate ministries that will impact the soul. I especially love their Children’s Base Camp where children learn the Word of God in a fun and engaging environment.
City of Life Church
Unlike the other Churches on this page, the City of Life Church is located in Kissimmee, Florida. Whenever I’m in the area to visit family I love to pop in for service here. This is such a fun Church and the congregation is very warm and welcoming. Out of all of the Churches on this page this one feels the least “religious”. I say this because although the main focus is in spreading the Holy Spirit, the service revolves around making the Word of God relatable. Newcomers to the Faith should stop by for a Sunday service to see what I mean. You won’t be disappointed!
